"The more we refuse to buy into our inner critics -- and our
external ones too -- the easier it will get to have confidence
in our choices, and to feel comfortable with who we are."

~ Arianna Huffington

* How can you apply this thought to your life?
* How often do you pay attention to those inner critics, or those outside of yourself?
* What if you were able to silence those critics and see how magnificent you truly are? How would you feel then?
* Allow yourself some quiet moments to ask yourself these questions.
  1. What are some of the positive things I have accomplished in my life?
  2. What are my abilities?
  3. What are some of the characteristics that I like best about myself?
  4. What living things count on me – people, plants and animals?
  5. What is it about me that leads them to believe they can count on me?
  6. What do I like best about my life? What did I do to make this part of my life possible?
* Ask yourself these questions often and stay true to your positive aspects. These are what make you absolutely magnificent and unique.
Remember that!
* When those inner critics start spouting off, acknowledge them for what they are – harmful barriers preventing you from being your very best self. Once you realize that, you take away their power.
* Learn to recognize the inner “praiser”, the one that knows what all your remarkable gifts are, and reminds you of them. If you can’t hear the voice, recite your special qualities out loud until you do hear it.
* If people outside of your own head criticize you, accept it for what is it - someone else's opinion! Separate yourself from your emotions and respond neutrally with something like, "I respectfully disagree." or "I'll think about it." If you still feel uncomfortable, look at those thoughts for what they are - untrue representations of yourself - and you'll immediately take away their negative power.
* Keep reminding yourself of all the great qualities you have and how you’re able to trust and rely on them as you go through your life. You’ve already left a positive footprint and you will leave a lot more before you depart from this world.
"The more we refuse to buy into our inner critics -- and our
external ones too -- the easier it will get to have confidence in
our choices, and to feel comfortable with who we are."
Here’s to a positive, peaceful and praiseworthy week.
